Is it possible to analyse a prerecorded file (wav) with Spectrum 3D Plot. I can't figure out how...

Yes, it is possible. Two methods:

1. Spectrum 3D Plot (Inter-frame mode)
First, use [File]>[Open Frame By Frame] to open the WAV file, and specify the frame width (let it to be a fraction of the total file length). Then open the Spectrum 3D Plot and set the FFT and all relevant parameters properly. Click the "Auto Frame Scroll" button (Green) in the Long Wave File Navigation Toolbar (third toolbar from the top), the Spectrum 3D Plot will be generated automatically.

2. Spectrum 3D Plot (Intra-frame mode)
First, use [File]>[Open] to open the WAV file in full. Then open the Spectrum 3D Plot, change the default "Inter-frame" mode to "Intra-frame" mode in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Note that in this mode, the FFT size of the Spectrum Analyzer determines the number of samples used to generate each spectrum profile in the Spectrum 3D Plot.

It is also possible to specify the overlap percentage and window function used when generating spectrum 3D plot
