Measuring the Wow and Fluter from a previously recorded 3150

Postby Steveh100 » Wed Mar 31, 2021 7:05 pm

I have quite a few recordings of 3150Hz tones from various Turntables and I'd like to identify their W&F.
Also, I have the Virtins test tones so I can check the system works well.
How do I run these recordings when using the preset W&F modes?

Thanks

Steve

First, use [File]>[Open] to load the WAV file and then right click the Spectrum Analyzer windows and select [Spectrum Analyzer Processing]>"Wow & Flutter", and tick "Unweighted" if necessary. Then the results can be accessed through the DDP viewers. The relevant DDPs for Ch. A are:

WowAndFlutter_A(%)
WowAndFlutterRMS_A(%)
Drift_A(%)
WowRMS_A(%)
FlutterRMS_A(%)
